Ms. Shama Jain holds the position of Deputy Head Sustainability at Hindustan Zinc, where she is dedicated to establishing sustainable business practices. This includes sustainability reporting and communication, creating an ESG governance system, framing policies, and devising a roadmap for sustainable business development utilizing outcomes of materiality matrix and life cycle impact assessment.

She possesses 14+ years of extensive knowledge and experience in Environmental Management, HSE management system, sustainability and integrated reporting, GRI/ SASB standards, Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures, TNFD. Her expertise stretches to the areas of mandatory and voluntary disclosures (BRSR, CDP (Climate Change, Water, and Forest) and DJSI), supply chain management, carbon foot print, Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) and beyond.

She played a pivotal role in leading the effort to achieve Water Positive Accounting & Certification, resulting in Hindustan Zinc Limited being certified as 2.41 water positive company. In addition to this, she holds the title of Certified Sustainability Assessor and Climate Change CAP 2.0 Assessor from Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).
