Dr. Haraprasad N is a Professor in the Department of Biotechnology, at JSS Science and Technology University, Mysuru. He has put in 27 years of professional experience in teaching, research, and administration.

His research interests include medical biotechnology, signal transduction in metabolic disorders with special reference to Infectious and Non-infectious diseases which are widespread in the Indian population, plant pathology, antiviral compounds, and Biosimilars. He teaches and guides BE, M.Tech, M.Sc, and Ph.D. students. He has to his credit 40 research publications including scientific books and book chapters.

He is a strategic leader with a proven track record of building and leading effective cross-functional curriculum and driving change initiatives at all phases of academics. He has served as an active member of several academic and professional committees within and outside the University. He has worked as the first Deputy Registrar of JSS Science and Technology University, Mysuru for more than 5 years and is experienced in policy development and the creation of various guidelines and regulations, in accordance with statutory requirements of state and national agencies. Dr. Haraprasad is a recipient of several academic awards and has completed funded research projects.
